Berlin-based CelloFellos are two internationally recognized musicians who are expanding the classical music repertoire. They immerse themselves in the worlds of jazz, tango, folk and other international dance influences in search of the most beautiful sounds, which they transform into music for two cellos. All pieces are arrangements or original compositions. Their “Global Grooves” programme spans across centuries and continents, from ancient Chinese melodies to traditional Balkan folk tunes, jazz and western classical works.
Bryan plays the ca. 1696 “Bonjour” Stradivari cello on loan from the Canada Council Music Instrument Bank. Works from Bela Bartok, Astor Piazzolla, Duke Ellington and more.
