Mathieu Gaudet is recording the complete piano music of Schubert for the Analekta label, a project acclaimed by critics and music lovers. The seventh album was just released – he records two per year. Mathieu studied with Julian Martin, Leon Fleisher, Marc Durand, Andre Laplante, John Perry, and Paul Stewart obtaining a performance doctorate in 2007. His love of science propelled him to study medicine and he became dual-career musician.
A versatile, accomplished artist, Mathieu has participated as soloist, chamber musician, and conductor during his mainly Canadian tours. His concerts and recordings are regularly broadcast on Radio-Canada and CBC.
