            <title>Rescheduled Concert</title>
            <link>http://mooredaleconcerts.com//index.html</link>
<description>Last Sunday's Mooredale Youth Orchestra concert, which had to be
postponed due to the winter storm, has been rescheduled for this
Sunday, Dec. 23, 3 pm, at Rosedale Heights School, directly across
from the Castle Frank subway station. The program will include
Schubert's Symphony No. 3 in D Major, and Telemann's &quot;Concerto
Polonois&quot;.

The Mooredale Youth Orchestra program was founded by the late
Kristine Bogyo, and is now directed by her husband, pianist Anton
Kuerti. The program has been a remarkable success, and now
incorporates three orchestras with about 120 enthusiastic young
musicians at different stages of their study. The youth orchestra is
conducted by clarinetist Shalom Bard, a member of Quartetto Gelato;
the intermediate orchestra is conducted by cellist and educator Clare
Carberry, and the junior orchestra is led by violinist Michelle
Zapf-Belanger. Over the years many of the orchestra alumni have gone
on to be highly successful professional musicians; listening to these
young players would be an inspiring and refreshing way to start the
year's holiday celebrations!

Tickets are available at the door, and are $15, $10 for students and
seniors, and for this particular concert, because of the
postponement, we will make it free for children under 14.

Because of the snowstorm, parking will be very problematic. PLEASE
come by TTC or on foot if you possibly can. More information on
parking will be posted here later in the week.
