Since its inception in 1986 Mooredale Concerts has become one of the most exciting and successful musical enterprises in
Nineteen concerts of great variety (14 different programs) are presented each year in which the public can enjoy instrumental soloists, chamber music, chamber orchestra, chamber opera, full symphony orchestra, vocal soloists, and choral works with orchestra.
Mooredale Concerts bring to audiences well known works as well as neglected ones, and each concert is full of variety in itself. A typical concert could include a short solo recital by a rising young star, a string trio and a piano quintet.
Most events also have commentaries on the music and human stories about the composers sprinkled in between pieces, enhancing audience appreciation.
Music & Truffles presents six concerts designed for children ages five and up. They are entertaining and interactive, and will help start children on a lifelong journey of love for Classical Music.
The Mooredale Youth Orchestra program trains over 100 serious young musicians ranging from ages 6-20 (divided into three levels of proficiency) to appear on the concert series. They explore the symphonic repertoire from Corelli to Beethoven.
Mooredale Concerts provide a cultural service to the community by keeping ticket prices very low, and because they have a reputation for high quality at rock bottom prices, they have a terrific following. Families and seniors alike. enjoy the friendly and informal atmosphere.
